Lingo! Word Game app for iPhone and iPad

Lingo! is a popular word game as seen on the Game Show Network. The objective of the game is to correctly guess the 5 letter word in 5 attempts or less.


Gameplay:
The Lingo! game chooses a random 5 letter word from the English dictionary. That letter is displayed on the Lingo! game board. The player guesses a 5 letter word that begins with the given letter. The player has 5 attempts to guess the Lingo! word correctly. The player is given a time limit of 2 minutes.


Scoring:
Earn points and lives by guessing words correctly. For every 3 words the players guesses correctly, 1 additional life will be awarded. The points scale is as follows:
- Guess word on 1st attempt: Earn 5 Points
- Guess word on 2nd attempt: Earn 4 Points
- Guess word on 3rd attempt: Earn 3 Points
- Guess word on 4th attempt: Earn 2 Points
- Guess word on 5th attempt: Earn 1 Point

Colors:
The Lingo! game board will change colors to provide you clues about what the word could be. The meaning of the colors is as follows:
- Yellow: You have guessed the correct letter in the correct position
- Blue: You have guessed the correct letter, but in the wrong position
- Green/Default: The letter you guessed is not part of the secret word


Bonus Letters:
Based on a variation from the game show Lingo, bonus letters are hints to help you out when you’re stuck. Use the bonus letters to unlock the secret word’s second letter. Each player receives 3 bonus letter at the start of the game. Additional bonus letters may be earned for every 5 words the player guesses correctly.

Skips:
Each player receives a free skip at the start of the game. This enables you to skip a word without penalty. Use it wisely as you are limited to only 1 skip per game.
